Here are some helpful links to organizations in the VC industry.  We'll add others as we learn about them.

Business Plan Pro: A great software program for writing up your business plan.  Helps you do a detailed investment offering table, create an expanded sales forecast, develop detailed cash flow scenarios, do financial projections, and more.  Our writers can use this for your own business plan. 

The Capital Connection: The company offers a variety of books on developing a business plan and techniques for finding different sources of money.  Also, it has a directory of experts, including agents, attorneys, financial plan consultants, marketing professionals, and others.

National Venture Capital Association (NVCA): This is a membership organization with 450 member firms.  Its publications include the Venture Capital Yearbook describing the industry's commitments for the past year and the annual Membership Directory.  Its Web site includes links to the sites of all of its members.

Western Association of Venture Capitalists (WAVC): This organization has approximately 140 members, who include virtually all the professionally managed venture capital firms in the Western U.S., most focused on the hi-tech and biotech industries.  You can order a Directory of Members which is published each February by contacting the association.

Business.com: This is a leading business search engine and business directory.  It's a place to find products, services, companies, news, people, and jobs.  

Private Equity Media: This is Australia's oldest venture capital publisher, having been established in 1992.  It is the founder and publisher of Australia's leading venture capital publications, including: Australian Venture Capital Journal, Australian Venture Capital Guide, and Australian Venture Capital Archive.
